MESA Europe hosts events in Paris 20/21st March

Published February 15, 2018

MESA Europe is delighted to announce 2 events taking place in Paris on 20th and 21st March.

Following on from the success of MESA Europe’s localisation events in London and its regular Content Localisation Council, a workshop on content localisation will take place in Paris on the afternoon of 20th March.

Featuring guest speakers and open floor discussion, based around a structured workshop approach, the meeting will concentrate on all aspects of content Localisation as it impacts on Europe and beyond, with a particular emphasis on the challenges being faced by companies preparing and sharing programming in French speaking territories as well as locally produced titles being readied for distribution in non-French speaking markets.

The workshop will embrace all aspects of content localisation from the metadata and promotional materials, through to compliance editing and re-working, to the end product output featuring dubbed and/or subtitled audio.

On the following morning, the 21st March, following the success of last year’s Paris initiative, MESA Europe, together with its industry sponsors, are delighted to announce the 2018 Content and Cybersecurity Forum.

This morning session will provide a platform for industry experts and delegates to immerse themselves in the topic and to gain detailed insights into the wide ranging threats the industry currently faces and some of the measures that can be taken to minimise those risks and to take decisive action once a security breach or piracy problem has been identified. Among the topics that will be discussed are:

  • Cybercrime – Are You Prepared?
  • Does anyone still care about Piracy?
  • Keeping the lid on Content Leaks?
  • Security – We Are All Responsible

In each case, the extent of the threat, preventative measures and ‘preparing for the inevitable’ will feature as part of the discussion, with participants drawing on real life experiences to illustrate the dangers of inaction and complacency.

Among those organisations already confirmed to speak are Cisco and Twentieth Century Fox.
