MESA Europe announces UHD and HDR Update in January

Published October 27, 2015

At the recent Content Community (HITS) and MESA Member Advisory Board meetings, keeping abreast of UHD, specifically for the European market, was identified as one of the priority areas and will be a recurring theme during the 2016 MESA Europe programme of events.

In response to this need, MESA Europe has announced a breakfast briefing, to be held in London on 20th January, following the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The meeting will provide an opportunity for those closely involved in bringing the full UHD and HDR experience to European consumers to update MESA members and invited guests and offer a platform for participants to discuss the key milestones for the year ahead and the hurdles that still need to be overcome.

The next steps towards prolonging the physical media roadmap will also be covered, with a feature on UHD BD.

While UHD and HDR will again take centre stage at CES, there will be a number of other key announcements from across the industry, with digital content management and content security expected to have a significant presence. The MESA briefing will include a focussed review of all the key announcements from the show and will include an in depth analysis of their likely impact within the European region. A number of key exhibitors from the Las Vegas show will be on hand to share details of their show highlights.
