Transforming Home Entertainment (THE) Summit Announced for London

MESA Europe and the Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) have announced that they will again join forces to host a major
collaborative entertainment industry initiative, to be held in London on 9th September. This year the focus of attention
will be on Transforming Home Entertainment (THE), to include strategies aimed at boosting demand for content ownership,
in either a digital or physical form and, increasingly, a combination of both.

Consumer demand for entertainment, at home and on the move, is at an all time high with an unprecedented number
of delivery platforms available, which is helping to drive interest both new release and catalogue titles. We can also see
from the sales success of recent blockbuster movies and the audiences being generated by high profile TV series
that consumer interest in video entertainment remains very strong.

“Our aim, through this event, is to explore ways in which we as an industry can get the message across that owning and enjoying content through digital platforms or traditional physical media gives the consumer the convenience, flexibility and high quality experience that they have always enjoyed” said Amy Jo Smith, President of DEG.

The content community and their delivery and technology partners continue to respond to end user wants and needs and during this full day conference we will examine the changing business models and evolving formats that are being developed to meet these needs.
