With 2020 set to see the biggest shake up in the online TV sector for some years, competition for eyeballs, revenues and content is set to intensify. Previously the major disruptors have come from outside of the industry but now many of the established industry heavyweights are regrouping and going on the attack themselves.

But what does all this mean for those involved in supporting and servicing these distribution platforms? Is it a case of business as usual, but with a few more operators involved, or are there fundamental changes that suppliers have to make to their operating practices and approaches?

In order to address these questions, MESA Europe is delighted to be hosting a dedicated OTT Workshop on 10th March. The event will be focussed around key topics and challenges facing companies who are already active within the OTT space and those who are looking to enter.

We will be exploring the OTT ecosystem, looking at all aspects from monetization, workflow considerations, launching a platform, discoverability, audience metrics and personalisation. The ‘workshop’ format has consistently proven successful with MESA Europe members who enjoy the open and confidential approach to sharing experiences and informed opinion.

This morning session will be an invitation only ‘closed doors’ event comprising a series of ‘thought leadership’ presentations, experienced industry executive panels and both round table and open floor discussion forums.

Guest speaker presentations and industry panel discussions will also feature in a morning focussed on informed debate and the exploration of collaborative initiatives.

About the Workshop Format

Tables, consisting of up to 10 industry participants, across a range of different interest groups, will be invited to discuss their views and share their experiences. The round table discussion will centre on a range of specified topics with all of the outputs building towards a shared understanding of the priority areas for future focus.
