This includes Disney Media Distribution (who license content IP to television and on-demand platforms), Disney Consumer Products (who license IP to manufacturers and retailers of physical goods) and Disney Motion Pictures (who license film IP to Cinemas). Jon’s leadership roles before Disney include a broad range of industry sectors but have all centred around using technology to solve business problems.
Robin Boldon

Robin has been at the forefront of innovation in Content Distribution for over 15 years. Industry firsts include; first to market B2B video on-line catalogue, on-site VOD for content markets and the first scalable Digital Video Supply Chain in Europe. In his most recent achievement, Robin managed the content logistics teams across all platforms (on-line, TV, Cinema, social) for the worldwide simultaneous release of the 50th Anniversary episode for the Doctor Who brand. Declared as a new Guinness World Record.
At BBC Worldwide, Robin is responsible for the global supply chain strategy to bring scalable content distribution to all areas of the company.
His accountability encompasses defining workflow, strategy, content modelling and technical standards for all managed content within the Digital Supply Chain. Innovation in new distribution technology forms an integral part of the remit. Robin participates with a number of industry forums and standards bodies including DPP, Event Cinema Association and the Journal for Digital Media Management.
He is a credible advocate for the Digital Supply Chain, Content Management Systems (CMS), Rights Management, e-commerce, Metadata Management, Taxonomy, Content Modelling, Iterative Agile development, Video On-Demand (VOD), Electronic Sell Through (EST)/Download To Own (DTO), A/V Transcoding, Asset QC, Digital Cinema and Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
Rod Carter

Having recently joined ITV from BBC Worldwide, Rod manages ITV’s International digital supply chain along with the commissioning of their foreign language dubs and subtitles. Previously, Rod was involved with the procurement and implementation of BBC Worldwide’s DAM solution with Sony DADC. He has considerable expertise in Broadcast and Digital workflows and was instrumental in agreeing the file standardisation of BBC Worldwide’s assets in this ever-changing digital environment.
Mathew Gilliat-Smith

Mathew is the chief executive officer of Fortium Technologies. He has 25 years experience of working in the media industry. He cofounded Fortium in 1999 and has been responsible for establishing it as a respected provider of anti piracy software solutions to blue chip film and entertainment businesses. He works closely with studio anti piracy teams to develop customised solutions that secure disc and file based content during production and after release.
Before joining Fortium Mathew held senior management positions in leading publishing, print, logistics and new media companies including Haymarket Publishing and St Ives. He led two VC backed MBOs before forming Fortium. With his management team he has specialised in taking compelling new concepts to launch and building critical market share. He was responsible for the sale of Fortium ICA in 1998, its image analysis subsidiary, which is now owned by Symantec Corporation. Having built up Patronus as a brand for protecting Academy award screeners he is currently focussing on a range of file based security publishing solutions that protect content while enhancing accessibility.

Currently oversee the global systems portfolio for Sony Pictures Television (Production/Distribution/Networks) and lead strategic technology change initiatives.
In my previous role I led SPE’s Worldwide Networks Systems (Traditional, Non-Linear & OTT). In this role I provided the strategic direction and oversight of the overall business systems portfolio from broadcast management systems to supporting digital media workflows (excluding technical operations/consumer delivery).
I have also led SPE’s intellectual property program (title & metadata management, rights, clearances and music), worldwide product fulfilment systems as well as television sales, marketing and distribution systems. Initiatives included B2B system development, rights management, Sales and Avails enhancements, Media DR, Digital Distribution Metadata, Universal Media ID - ISAN & EIDR, Clip Licensing & Stock Footage, JBoss / Open source initiative, Physical Logistics Automation, and the Digital Backbone.
Prior to system management, I led SPE IT’s strategic planning group support the CIO. In this role I led: SPE’s Digital Media Initiative, IT strategic plan, Portal & Content Management Strategy, Offshore Outsourcing transformation (India), Master Data Management Strategy, Business Intelligence Strategy, and Data Center Strategy.
Before Joining SPE, I worked at Accenture on strategy, software development & change management.

A veteran of more than 20 years in the IT industry, Tony joined 20th Century Fox in 2009 to oversee IT across all Fox European Divisions. He has recently taken an expanded role that incorporates Asia Pacific.
Passionate about delivering IT solutions that deliver real business value, Tony has championed a collaborative approach across Fox’s European IT operations.
His aim is to align IT and Commercial Strategies to meet the objectives of the studio at a territory and regional level. Prior to joining Fox, Tony spent the majority of his career working in the retail industry, predominantly in the entertainment sector with Virgin.
Damian Jordan

Before joining the Entertainment Industry, Damian worked in the FMCG industry for Colgate Palmolive Performed a wide range of IT roles including Programming, DBA, Team Management, Global Application Project Management, SAP and Siebel implementations. During his time at Colgate, Damian became the UK IT Manager, and pioneered aligning local IT teams to work virtually as part of a Global IT team.
Damian joined Schering Health Care (Pharmaceuticals), as the UK IT leader and was the IT lead and overall Business Project Manager for the merger with Bayer Healthcare.
In 2007 Damian joined Warner Bros to head up the implementation of SAP for Warner Home Entertainment. SAP has been successfully been implemented across 15 territories across Europe and Asia-Pac. In 2009 promoted to VP WHE Application Services International, responsible for all applications serving Warner Home Entertainment (including SAP, Siebel, Business Objects / Terradata, VMI).
Most recently Damian has been involved in WB’s Implementation of SAP-IPM for International TV Distribution.

Lionel Levy is the Senior Vice President Supply Chain Operations, Europe for Sony DADC New Media Solutions. He is responsible for the implementation of Sony’s industry-leading tool sets in territory supporting video supply chain as well as day to day customer service and delivery of video content on behalf of Sony DADC’s European customer’s. With his extensive experience of video supply chain, he has managed the deployment of advanced solutions that support the evolving requirements of global Media & Entertainment customers, helping them to meet the challenges of today’s digital media landscape. He has over twenty years’ experience managing global organisations, focusing on managing and transforming complex global supply chains. Prior to Sony DADC, he has consulted for a variety of high technology and media companies to develop international distribution strategies. He holds a PhD in Physics from Edinburgh University.
David Millar

David joined MESA Europe as Director of Communications in June of this year, following a near 30 year career in research and consulting within the technology sector.
David was previously with Futuresource Consulting where he steered much of the group’s work across the storage media, electronics and entertainment content sectors. Prior to that he was with the technology consulting group BIS.
David has spoken at numerous events around the world and has been a regular contributor to the activities of a number of industry associations in the technology space.
His role within MESA Europe is to expand the membership services and support that the association can offer across Europe, at regional and national level. David has language skills in French, German and Italian.
Doug Osler

Doug brings over 30 years of IT experience including over 20 years of supply chain experience. He has held various supply chain positions which has included experience in retail, distribution and manufacturing. Doug was one of the founding members of Vision, a major home entertainment service provider, which has been providing services to the home entertainment sector since 1995. Past accomplishments at Vision included the detailed design, testing and roll out of the Vision Insight Solution which is the back bone of Vision’s service provision. Doug has successfully managed customer service and software provisions with some of the largest retailers and suppliers in North America, Asia Pacific and Europe. Currently Doug is Vice President and Managing Director of Cinram Business Solutions EU.
Jay Reinbold

Jay Reinbold is SVP, Category Management Worldwide at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. His responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic category plans for key retailers, the development and maintenance of a dynamic data warehouse system to support retail analytics and identify market trends in the DVD, Digital Video and Videogame categories.
Reinbold joined Warner Bros. in 1998 with the launch of the Category Management department during the critical transition from VHS to DVD. Today, Warner Bros. is partnered with major retailers around the world including Wal-Mart and Amazon in nine countries focused on the omni-channel consumer.
Prior to the 16 years at Warner Bros., Reinbold spent five years with Universal Studios. He earned his MBA from the University of Southern California. Reinbold currently serves as chair for the Digital Entertainment Group’s Research committee.
