BBC, Liberty/Virgin and Sky to speak at MESA Europe Content Security Summit

Published September 29, 2016
The third annual MESA Europe Content Security Summit will take place in London on Wednesday 16th November, with senior executives from three of Europe’s leading entertainment brands set to address the event.
“For the third year running Farncombe, a Cartesian Company, will be one of the Summit’s lead sponsors and, in addition to speaking, will once again be helping to shape the programme with us” said David Millar, Communications Director at MESA Europe.
Content Armor has also agreed to speak and, in addition to sharing news of the company’s evolution from its initial roots with Technicolor, will contribute to the cross- industry discussion on watermarking and fingerprinting.
“Watermarking is such a hot topic right now and forms a critical part of any multi-layered content security strategy” said Jim Bottoms, Executive Director of MESA Europe. “This was clear from many discussions at IBC and it is one of the subjects close to the heart of our Content Community Advisory Board”
The security issues faced by the content owners and distributors are changing all of the time and the Security Summit will once again feature a number of real and recent case studies to showcase, first hand, the processes, solutions and technologies being employed to combat content theft.
In addition to the above, topics to come under the spotlight during this full one-day conference will include:
• Protecting Live Sports Programming
• Employing Solutions to Minimise Content Workflow Security Risks
• How Secure is the Cloud?
• Managing Cross Border Rights and Content Access
• Responding to the Changing Market Environment
• Technology Update, Staying Ahead of the ‘Bad Guys’
The MESA Europe Content Protection Summit will take place in London on 16th November.
